🌍 You're Invited! Earth Month Cook-In: Planet on a Plate 🍽️

Looking for a fun, delicious, and eye-opening way to celebrate Earth Month? Join us for the 1st Annual Earth Month Cook-In: Planet on a Plate!
When: Sunday, April 12th, 2026 @ 5:30 PM
Where: Online via Zoom
Cost: Free! (Open to everyone)
I am thrilled to be hosting this event alongside my spirited friend and James Beard-Nominated Restaurateur, Tina Houston. Together, we are bridging the gap between the culinary arts and physics!
Why this isn't your average cooking class:
During our 1-hour session, we’ll guide you through delicious recipes using easy-to-find, inexpensive ingredients.
But we’re also serving up some "digestible" science! The SPICE Lab is uniquely equipped to log live power use from each appliance. As we cook, you can log on and view our live-action data dashboard to see the real-world energy impact of the sustainable cooking techniques we’re using.
Expect plenty of laughs, "gee whiz" moments of discovery, and practical tips you can use every day. After the class, stick around to eat "together" on Zoom, ask us your burning culinary (or physics!) questions, and maybe even watch a fun kitchen science demo.
Whether you’re a newbie cook, a seasoned foodie, a science nerd, or just looking for a fun Sunday evening, we’d love to have you. We highly encourage you to invite a friend, child, or neighbor over to your kitchen to cook along with us!
Please register early so we can send you the ingredient and equipment list in advance, ensuring you have everything ready to go! Register here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScnxwkYixCtsk4sNY9j4BQ2iWUEPdOWrnZ1BRtqyupwgRpz7g/viewform?usp=dialog
We can't wait to cook with you!
Warmly,

Sounds great! But what time zone are you in, Carla?
